CfPA Committees

Our work is guided by active committees that support our mission and growth. These committees are open to paid members who wish to contribute their skills, ideas, and passion toward meaningful impact.

Our Committees:

1. Policy Committee

The Policy Committee drives CfPA’s advocacy agenda and turns real industry pain into actionable policy proposals. We coordinate comment letters, regulator engagement, and legislative strategy across three focused tracks via subcommittees: Legislative, SEC, and Tax Credit. If you like translating on-the-ground problems into fixes that regulators and lawmakers can actually implement, this is the committee.

Chairperson: Jenny Kassan

2. Education & Events Committee

The Education & Events Committee is where we make the industry smarter and more effective. We design and host webinars, build practical educational initiatives for issuers, investors, and ecosystem professionals, and develop programming that supports the regulated investment crowdfunding industry. This committee also includes the CfPA Summit Planning subcommittee for our in-person D.C. event.

Co-Chair: Scott McIntyre

3. Growth Committee

The Growth Committee is responsible for expanding CfPA’s reach and strengthening the association’s long-term sustainability. We focus on member growth, partnerships, outreach, and clear messaging that improves awareness of regulated investment crowdfunding and CfPA’s role in it. If you’re good at go-to-market, community building, or industry communications, this is the place to plug in.

Chairperson: Jason Fishman

4. Intermediaries Committee

The Intermediaries Committee is a new 2026 committee built for funding portals and broker-dealers, and for the professionals who support them. The goal is to share operational best practices, discuss compliance and FINRA oversight realities, and surface the top issues that impact intermediary sustainability and market quality. If you operate a platform, work at a BD, or live in the weeds of process, compliance, and investor UX, you’ll add immediate value here.

Chairperson: Eric Cox

05. Investors Committee

The Investors Committee is focused on strengthening the investor side of regulated investment crowdfunding. We work to improve investor education, surface real-world investor pain points, promote better disclosures and expectations, and help CfPA advance ideas that build long-term trust and repeat participation in the market. If you care about investor experience, transparency, outcomes, and keeping the crowd meaningfully engaged, this is the committee for you.

Chairperson: Paul Lovejoy
